Flowers by Beth

With a lifelong passion and understanding of flowers and an eye for the beauty that surrounds us every day, floral design was a natural step for me.

While raising our 4 children I completed a Diploma of Floral Design. I enjoyed working in retail floristry and started attending master classes of floral design. This all led me to the question that changed my life. My soon to be daughter in law asked me to design her wedding flowers which was an absolute honour and sparked my decision to go out on my own as “Flowers by Beth”.

Since then I’ve had the privilege of connecting with local and destination brides to create their dream wedding flowers in Mudgee, Gulgong and beyond.

Not only do I do wedding and event flowers in the Central West, I also design for all of life’s events including birthdays, anniversaries and funerals.

Flowers have a special way of bringing joy and comfort to not just ourselves, but those we care about.

Meet Beth

Growing up on a farm outside Gulgong, my love of flowers blossomed during the many hours I spent in my mother’s beautiful country garden. We always had fresh flowers in our home, and we enjoyed visiting gardens of family and friends where we would share ideas and swap plants and cuttings.

The scent of jasmine on a warm spring evening fills me with joy, and the humble geranium sparks familiar feelings of home.

There’s something really special about the feeling of grass under your feet, and dirt on your hands while you pick flowers from your own garden to brighten the home, and I’ve always found myself experimenting with floral design.

My style is as varied as the kinds of flowers I use – sometimes I take inspiration from an English style garden, with large luscious bursts of floral delights, other times I can create simple, whimsical designs.

I’m so lucky to be able to work from my studio in the Mudgee Valley – it’s a chance to combine my love of the country, with my passion for flowers.

I love to learn, and attending industry training is one of my favourite things to do. I get to immerse myself in the world of floral design, while staying up to date with the current trends and making sure I’m delivering the highest quality floral designs.

I was humbled to be named People’s Choice at the Team Flower Conference Designer Of The Year competition in Florida in 2018. This award was judged by industry peers from around the globe.
